ZA-27 Machining for Your Bearing Fit & Stable Dimensions

Plan your ZA-27 die casting and ZA-27 CNC machining around the final bearing interface, mounting datums and inspection state. For your custom ZA-27 parts, define usable casting stock and any dimensional-stability review before cutting to size.

Approve the Product Route Alongside Your ZA-27 Callout

ZA-27 zinc aluminum alloy and ZA27 alloy are names used in purchasing. Your ZA-27 properties and ZA-27 composition review still needs a product standard, casting route and agreed final state.

Resolve 6 Drawing and Supply Decisions Before Release

Define the assembly inputs before repeating quantities.

Choose Your Cast Product Before Machining

For your ZP2720 die casting review, confirm the cold-chamber route. ZA-27 sand casting and ZA-27 permanent mold casting need their own stock, tooling and acceptance review.

01 · Assembly

Define shaft, housing and working surface.

02 · Route

Agree stock, support and lubrication access.

03 · Acceptance

Inspect the defined final state.

Define the Features Your ZA-27 Route Must Deliver

Your ZA-27 casting manufacturer review starts with the drawing: identify load-carrying interfaces, machining access and the state in which dimensions must be accepted.

Define Your Reducer Housings

For your stepped reducer housing, identify bearing-seat access, flange flatness and the relationship between the open cavity and external mounting lands. Review ZA-27 die cast housings against the controlled assembly.

Machine the Datums That Control Your Assembly

6 Inputs for Your ZA-27 Casting Quote

01CAD + controlled drawing + mating parts
02ZA-27 + product standard and revision
03Casting route + usable machining allowance
04First order + repeat quantities
05Load, temperature + final finish and fit
06Material records + inspection + delivery

Compare the Same Finished Condition

Your ZA-27 casting quote should identify the same route, drawing revision, usable stock and final acceptance. Compare tooling and repeat demand on that basis.

Answers Before You Specify ZA-27

Is ZP2720 the same as ZA-27?

ZP27 / ZP2720 and ZnAl27Cu2 are common casting references associated with ZA-27. Retain the complete specification and revision. IZA lists ZL27 / ZL2720 separately for prototype alloys.

Can ZA-27 be cold chamber die cast?

Yes. Review the actual cold-chamber casting route, geometry, tooling and usable machining stock with your quote. Do not automatically apply a ZA-8 hot-chamber route.

Can ZA-27 be machined?

Yes. Identify locating support, usable allowance, bore and port access, accepted burrs and the final condition inspected after machining and finishing.

What information is needed for a ZA-27 casting quote?

Provide CAD and controlled drawing, grade and product standard, casting route, quantities, load and temperature, final finish, free or installed fit and receiving records.

Is ZA-27 suitable for bearing parts?

Review load, speed, temperature, lubrication, mating material and installed clearance. Request appropriate duty data and acceptance; alloy identity alone does not establish service life.

What causes porosity in ZA-27 castings?

Review casting route, section layout, feeding or filling approach and agreed defect limits with the foundry. Identify critical bores or sealing surfaces and any separately required integrity test.

What ZA-27 die casting tolerances can you quote?

Specify cast versus machined features, datums, limits and final finish. Your quote confirms the reviewed geometry and inspection scope, without a universal tolerance promise.

Is plating recommended for ZA-27?

Eastern Alloys does not recommend plating ZA-27. Review an alternative finish against appearance, exposure, preparation, masks, sample acceptance and final dimensions before approving your route.
