YOUR NITRILE COMPOUND. YOUR FLUID. YOUR FINISHED FIT.
Plan custom NBR parts, nitrile rubber molding and custom nitrile gaskets around the full compound, cure state, fluid and final interfaces. Agree raw-polymer traceability when required, tooling, sample approval and inspection so your quote covers the finished component you need.
NBR is a material and compound review. Rubber molding, sheet cutting and bonding availability require drawing review; ordinary thermoplastic process settings are not implied.

For NBR injection molding or another agreed rubber molding route, review lips, parting lines, tooling and controlled compound. Do not transfer ordinary thermoplastic resin processing assumptions.

For custom nitrile gaskets, identify cured sheet producer, compound, thickness and cut-edge condition. The raw-polymer grade alone does not specify the sheet.

Review fluid contact, movement, clamping and dimensional state. Agree the full formulation, cure and representative application tests.

Review rubber and metal together, including surface preparation, interface, cure and agreed bond test. Confirm manufacturing scope for your drawing.
For a PERBUNAN 3445 F custom parts quote, retain this full raw-polymer product and the separate controlled compound. Supplier raw viscosity and acrylonitrile content do not specify the finished seal.

ARLANXEO raw-polymer finder · Acrylonitrile content, wt% · ISO 24698 · supplier nominal raw-polymer values

Specify the NBR rubber material, full raw-polymer product when required, compounding source and finished compound identifier. Buna N rubber is a family-level purchasing description, not a complete formulation or part approval.

For sheet and molded or bonded components, retain full compound, cure state, lot, dimensions and approved sample. Keep raw-polymer data separate from stock and finished-part records.
Does NBR acrylonitrile content determine finished seal performance? No. Retain the raw-polymer grade, complete formulation, cure and specified tests. NBR acrylonitrile content is one input, not a finished seal acceptance rule.

What fluid information is needed to select an NBR gasket? Identify the full fluid and additives, concentration, temperature, duration, pressure and movement. Agree representative compatibility evidence for the exact compound rather than relying on an oil-resistant label.

For NBR compression molding or another qualified rubber process, retain the controlled compound, current cure instructions, finishing scope and delivered condition. Agree inspection of critical sealing edges and interfaces.

NBR Shore hardness and NBR compression set answer different questions. Specify scale, method, specimen, cure and conditioning for hardness; retain deflection, temperature, duration and recovery for compression set.

For NBR vs HNBR, compare exact products, compounds, cure, fluid exposure and final interfaces. Can HNBR replace NBR without seal validation? Do not approve the change without documented material and representative finished-part evidence.

For NBR material certification, agree producer, full compound, cure state, lot and raw-polymer traceability when required. Keep dimensional inspection, appearance sample and functional approval separate.

For NBR compression molding or another qualified rubber route, agree compound, tooling, cure, sealing edges and approved sample.

Send CAD and drawing, full NBR compound and cure state, quantities, molding scope, fluid details, temperature, movement, sealing surfaces and required records. An NBR molding quote must cover the same final material and inspection scope.
No. The raw polymer is part of the formulation. Full compound, cure, geometry, environment and the specified finished-part tests remain necessary.
Do not approve a substitute from the abbreviation. Compare exact compound, cure, dimensions, fluid exposure and functional tests; retain drawing and material change approval.
No. Specify producer, full formulation or controlled compound identifier, cure, required properties, lot and supplied condition.
Identify the exact fluid and additives, concentration, temperature, contact time, pressure, motion and cleaning exposure. Agree compatibility review and representative testing for the chosen compound.
Not automatically. Review complete formulation, cure, fluid response, compression behavior, bonding where applicable and required records, then approve a representative sample.
| Reference | What it does and does not identify |
|---|---|
| NBR / nitrile rubber | Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber direction; retain full polymer and controlled compound. |
| Buna N | Common family-level description; not a full compound specification. |
| HNBR alternative | A distinct material direction requiring exact-product and finished-part change approval. |
| Full grade + controlled compound | PERBUNAN, KRYNAC, NIPOL and KUMHO KNB trade names need full suffix, compounding chain, cure and final approval. |
Generic polymer designations do not approve a manufacturer-grade substitution. Retain the complete product, suffix and application evidence rather than inventing an EN/DIN equivalent.
