YOUR GRADE. YOUR MOISTURE CONTROL. YOUR FINISHED FIT.
Plan your custom PBT parts around the full stock or resin grade, reinforcement and operating environment. Review drying evidence, molded shrinkage and critical fits before production.
Material availability and manufacturing scope are reviewed for your drawing.

Start with the full manufacturer product and purchasing form. These are review directions, not interchangeable grades or stock promises.

For your PBT prototype parts, confirm actual stock or resin and finished geometry. A family name is insufficient for substitution.

Review glass filled PBT around stiffness, fiber direction, mating surfaces and warpage. PBT GF30 does not identify a complete resin grade.

Review PBT hydrolysis against actual moisture, temperature and duration. Confirm a specific hydrolysis-resistant product and evidence.

For PBT electrical connectors, specify full grade, color, geometry, insert details and required product-specific evidence. No blanket electrical or flame approval is implied.

| Your decision | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Full product | Manufacturer, grade suffix, color and lot |
| Purchasing form | Stock shapes or molding resin |
| Your approval | Actual load, assembly and sample |
A resin data sheet does not identify unspecified sheet, rod or tube.

|---|---|
| CNC Stock: Confirm the Actual Product | For your PBT machining services, identify the stock manufacturer, full product, color, form and lot. Resin data alone does not identify the sheet or rod being cut. |
| Molding Resin: Full Grade + Color | For your PBT injection molding quote, confirm the complete resin designation, moisture verification, tooling, quantities and approved sample. |
Review geometry, temperature state, support and timing before comparing dimensions.
| Your decision | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Assembly | Mating parts, contact media and assembly stress |
| Processing | Heat history, cooling and support |
| Inspection | Datums, support and agreed method |
Material records must correspond to the product and batch actually supplied.
| Your decision | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Identity | Full stock or resin product, color and batch |
| Finished part | Dimensions and functional sample approval |
| No automatic equivalence | Printed or machined prototypes do not validate molded-part performance |

Historical brochure references for two named resins, not current supply specifications, finished-part guarantees or substitution approval. Fiber direction, geometry and test conditions matter. Confirm current exact-grade data before design.

For your PBT machining services, identify the stock manufacturer, full product, color, form and lot. Resin data alone does not identify the sheet or rod being cut.

For your PBT injection molding quote, confirm the complete resin designation, moisture verification, tooling, quantities and approved sample.
For PBT drying, verify actual resin moisture against the current grade instructions. Dryer time alone is not evidence that the resin meets its moisture limit.

PBT shrinkage and PBT warpage depend on grade, reinforcement, flow direction, geometry and processing. Agree critical dimensions on approved molded samples.

For PBT insert molding, review insert temperature, retention geometry, differential expansion and assembly stress. Define sample and functional acceptance.

Does all PBT have the same hydrolysis resistance? No. Review the specific formulation, medium, temperature and duration; agree relevant verification.

Can glass filled PBT replace unfilled PBT without redesign? Do not assume so. Review anisotropy, wall geometry, fit and counterface wear.

PBT finished part inspection requirements should identify datums, sample state and functional checks. Retain PBT stock or resin grade traceability to the supplied lot.

Review full resin, flow, cooling and the approved production sample.

Process availability and material scope require confirmation for your drawing.
| Your check | Evidence to agree |
|---|---|
| 1 | Material identity: full stock or resin grade, color, reinforcement and lot. |
| 2 | Finished fit: datums, inspection temperature, molding direction and sample state. |
| 3 | Agreed tests, material certification, sample approval and delivery records. |
PBT finished part inspection requirements must define the final measurement state. Material identity is separate from functional approval.

Moisture can affect polyester processing and material integrity. Follow the current exact-grade instructions and verify the actual resin condition rather than relying only on elapsed dryer hours.
No. Confirm manufacturer, full grade suffix, reinforcement, color and required records. A generic reinforcement label does not establish interchangeability.
No automatic transfer is valid. Review the complete blend product and its own processing, properties and approval evidence.
Provide controlled geometry, resin grade and color, inserts, assembly conditions, critical fits and any required electrical or regulated evidence for the actual product.
Compare named products under relevant conditions, including moisture, heat, loads, process and finished fit. Family-level property rankings do not approve a replacement.
Send CAD and drawing, full grade and color, stock or resin route, order quantities, exposure and load, critical dimensions, inspection records and delivery needs.

PBT is polybutylene terephthalate. Unfilled, glass-filled, flame-retardant and hydrolysis-resistant formulations need their own complete product identity. Do not infer additive content, approval or performance from color.
For your PBT material certification, connect manufacturer, complete grade, color, reinforcement and supplied lot to the finished-part records. A generic PBT GF30 description does not replace this evidence.
