For your manifolds and CDU components, define the machined manifold, connection block, bracket and selected fittings included in the order. Review port geometry, wetted materials, cleaning and component acceptance before system integration.

Define the supplied CDU parts, controlled ports, cleaning state and sample records.

Identify the manifold, connection block, bracket and any selected fittings or seals included in your custom CDU components quote. Define the supplied CDU fluid interface components and separate component inspection from complete coolant distribution unit integration and commissioning.

Specify CDU manifold port threads with the selected standard, designation, orientation, engagement and sealing method. List every branch location, mating fitting, plug and required tool clearance on the controlled drawing.

Review CDU component material compatibility against your coolant formulation, operating temperature, connected metals, coatings, seals and cleaning chemicals. Define the final protected state before assembly.

Your CDU component drawing requirements should include the released revision, datums, passages, closures, final finish, quantities and required reports. A CDU manifold prototype should resolve the actual mounting and mating interfaces before repeat supply.

Select the actual machined and assembled parts in your purchase scope. Complete coolant distribution unit design and integration require their own agreement.

CDU component manufacturing starts with the individual released drawings and the delivered assembly state. CDU manifold machining should identify drilled passages, cross-hole closures, port access and cleaning requirements. CDU connection block machining needs controlled datums, seal lands and mating hardware; CDU mounting bracket manufacturing needs material, locating features, loads and fasteners. A liquid cooling manifold assembly quote should list fittings, plugs, seals and purchased items separately.
Choose material with your coolant, connected metals, seals, mass and manufacturing route in view. These stock references do not establish corrosion compatibility, a pressure rating or manifold flow performance.
A header distributes coolant; higher bulk conductivity alone does not make its branches more balanced.
Estimate mass using your finished volume. Confirm exact grade, product specification and required condition with the purchasing documents.

Separate a branch-flow sum, the supplied test boundary and complete-unit responsibility. The numeric graphic is chosen arithmetic, not an operating rating, balanced-flow prediction or measured report.
Chosen example: identical branch targets of 1.5 L/min sum to 3, 6 or 9 L/min for 2, 4 or 6 branches. This arithmetic does not predict actual flow sharing, pressure loss, pump duty or CDU capacity. Your hydraulic design and validation define those conditions.
Record the tested fittings, plugs and seals, measurement method, medium, conditions and acceptance. Pressure testing and leak testing have separate purposes and agreed criteria.
A part report covers its stated manufacturing boundary. The integrator and system owner define complete-unit performance, controls, sensors, commissioning and acceptance.
Separate mounting datums, sealing interfaces and wetted passages. Confirm the specified final condition with the mating assembly.

Define the mounting footprint, locating datums and final inspection state.

Specify the finished thread, fitting engagement and agreed sealing surfaces.

Protect fins, finished contact faces and ports; agree cleaning and shipment condition.
A finish is not a universal cooling improvement. Confirm its purpose, compatibility and inspection state. Review surface finishing options →

Define the port schedule and cross-hole closure method together. Review access for machining, deburring, sealing, cleaning and final inspection; matching a thread designation alone does not approve a connection.

Illustrative engineering concept
Agree CDU component leak testing separately from CDU manifold pressure testing. State the supplied assembly boundary, fittings, plugs, medium, temperature, limits, duration and required records. Do not infer hydraulic or complete-unit performance from either check.

Illustrative component concept
Your custom CDU components quote should connect each part number and revision to its supplied material, final geometry, cleaning state and agreed records. Request the component and assembly checks that match your order. A manifold inspection or leak report covers its stated boundary; it does not qualify the complete coolant distribution unit or its operating envelope.
These are component integration contexts, not complete units, installed customer projects or certified system performance.

Match the released branch and inlet port schedule.
Control seal lands, mating fittings and locating datums.
Review fasteners, restraint and service access.
Resolve controlled geometry before integration.
Define the supplied fittings, seals and test state.
Match installed revisions and protective packing.
Name the measured interfaces and acceptance method.
Keep part records and complete-unit approval distinct.
Ask your quote to separate component manufacturing, joining, finishing, inspection and any independently agreed validation. The drawing review confirms availability, quantities and delivery scope.
Provide the released drawings for each manifold, connection block, bracket, adapter or defined subassembly. State material, final geometry, supplied fittings, quantities and required records. Drawing review confirms the feasible manufacturing and delivery scope for each part.
A component order should state exactly what is supplied. Machined manifolds, blocks, brackets and defined assemblies do not by themselves include pumps, heat exchangers, controls, complete-unit qualification or site commissioning. Assign those responsibilities separately.
List each port position and direction, thread standard and designation, sealing arrangement, selected mating fitting, plugs and tool clearance. Include passage connections and cross-hole closures on the controlled drawing.
Agree relevant particles or residues, inspection method, cleaning and drying scope, accessible passage state, port protection and packaging. Define the acceptance owner and any supplied cleanliness records before sample release.
No. Their purpose, medium, conditions and acceptance criteria can differ. Specify the pressure and leak checks separately, including whether mating fittings, plugs and seals are installed. Neither automatically establishes complete-unit performance.
Agree material identity, drawing revision, final dimensions and datums, port and assembly fit, cleanliness, specified tests and traceability. Keep component release separate from hydraulic validation and complete CDU integration approval.
