YOUR GRADE. YOUR CONDITION. YOUR FINISHED FIT.
For your A36 steel machining and fabrication project, connect plate thickness, weld sequence and final mounting datums. Agree cutting, machining, coating and inspection before releasing your base, bracket or frame.
1 part model + 1 controlled drawing · Material condition · Quantity

ASTM A36 is a carbon structural steel specification. Confirm product form, plate thickness and the material record; a grade name alone does not define a finished welded assembly.
Specify the requested grade with product form and condition.
SSAB plate reference, 2.54–152 mm · not an LK part guarantee.
Product form, thickness and supplied surface condition.
Weld sequence, coating and final mounting datums.
Material identity, lot records and agreed inspection.
Select your part family, then review the four decisions that control your order.
For your A36 steel base plates and A36 steel fixture plates, identify mounting pads, locating holes, lugs and required flatness. Separate machined datum faces from as-supplied plate surfaces.

For your A36 steel plate machining review, define thickness, cleanup allowance, clamping and the order of broad-face milling and hole work.

If lugs or supports are welded to your base, define their position and sequence before final machining. A plate-only part and a weldment need different acceptance planning.

Agree datum-pad height, hole location, final flatness and surface finish. State whether dimensions apply after welding, machining or coating.

For your A36 steel brackets, identify locating faces, hole access, gussets and the load direction. Send the assembly drawing where it controls the bracket geometry.

For A36 steel drilling and A36 steel tapping, show entry direction, useful thread engagement and tool clearance beside gussets. Confirm installation access as well as machining access.

For A36 steel welding, define the joint, thickness, sequence and required procedure. Agree distortion control and any final machining without assuming an as-welded face is a precision datum.

Agree bracket angle, mounting-face relationships, hole position and final coating condition. Define how the part is supported for inspection.

For your A36 steel weldments, identify mounting pads, bearing supports, cross-members and access openings. Keep the assembled load and fit requirements on the controlled drawing.

For your A36 steel CNC machining inquiry, review fixture access and final pad machining on the assembled frame. Identify which pad and bore relationships share one datum scheme.

Define stock thickness, joint details, weld sequence and final acceptance. A36 steel stress relieving is included only when specified and agreed for your project.

Agree pad coplanarity, mounting-hole locations and relevant frame dimensions. State inspection support conditions and required weld or dimensional records.

For your A36 steel mounting plates, identify slot length, counterbores, locating features and fastener interfaces. Distinguish adjustable clearance from a locating fit.

For your A36 steel milling review, identify slots and holes requiring machining after profile cutting. Include deburring and tool access around integral bosses or attached lugs.

For A36 hot rolled steel, identify scale removal, machining allowance and final protection. Mark functional pads and bores that must be masked during coating.

Agree slot dimensions, hole locations, mating-face finish and coating acceptance. Keep the final drawing revision with your inspection records.

Separate material requirements from the dimensions of your finished assembly.
| Your callout | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Plate or structural product | Exact specification, thickness, supplied condition and record |
| Welded assembly | Joint details, procedure, sequence and final acceptance |
| Machined and coated part | Datum scheme, cleanup allowance and final surface condition |
SSAB lists this minimum for its selected 2.54–152 mm plate products.
Specify the final supported inspection state for your base or frame.
Product form and thickness matter. These two producer references describe different product scopes.

Review A36 steel machinability together with geometry, material condition and the final manufacturing route.
For your A36 carbon steel machining inquiry, confirm stock form, thickness, supplied surface and material record. Review cleanup stock instead of assuming mill plate is a finished precision surface.

Coordinate your drawing review, material condition, sample decisions and receiving requirements.
A36 can be reviewed for welded fabrication. Agree stock thickness, joint details, procedure, sequence and final dimensional acceptance for your assembly.
These specifications have different requirements. Confirm the exact grade, thickness, properties and required records against your drawing before approving any substitution.
Review complete product standards, thickness-dependent properties, impact requirements and certification. A regional material name does not establish equivalence.
It is carbon structural steel, not stainless steel. Define exposure, coating, storage and shipping protection for your component.
Do not choose a final hardened condition from the A36 name alone. Review your required property, section and process with the exact material specification.
Send the drawing, stock form and thickness, quantity, cutting and welding scope, machined datums, coating and inspection requirements.
Bases, brackets, frames and mounting plates are selection examples. Your load, geometry, joint design and required acceptance determine suitability.
