YOUR SPECIFIED POLYMER. YOUR SUPPLY FORM. YOUR FINISHED PART.
Review other plastic materials for your custom parts when your drawing calls for PET, PSU, PPSU, PAI, PI or PVDF. Share the full manufacturer product, stock or resin form, operating conditions and inspection needs before approving a material or manufacturing route.
Material availability and manufacturing scope are reviewed for your drawing.

Start with the full manufacturer product and purchasing form. These are review directions, not interchangeable grades or stock promises.

For your TECAPET custom machining quote or custom PET parts, identify the actual stock manufacturer, complete product, color and lot. PET-P machining stock and packaging PET resin are separate purchasing specifications.

For custom PSU parts or custom PPSU parts, keep the polymer identity and full product separate. A UDEL P1700 custom molding quote needs the exact UDEL P-1700 suffix and color; a RADEL R5500 custom machining quote also needs the actual stock-shape source.

A TORLON 4203 custom machining quote, TORLON 4301 custom machining quote or TECASINT 2011 custom machining quote must retain the exact supplied product and condition. Polyimide machining concerns PI; TORLON is PAI. These names do not authorize substitution.

For PVDF machining or custom PVDF parts, identify the actual stock product. A KYNAR 740 custom stock shape quote requires confirmation of the stock producer and its product evidence; the resin designation alone does not identify a purchased rod or plate.
For your TECAPET custom machining quote or custom PET parts, identify the actual stock manufacturer, complete product, color and lot. PET-P machining stock and packaging PET resin are separate purchasing specifications.
| Your decision | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Full product | Manufacturer, grade suffix, color and lot |
| Purchasing form | Stock shapes or molding resin |
| Your approval | Actual load, assembly and sample |
A resin data sheet does not identify unspecified sheet, rod or tube.

|---|---|
| Machining Stock: Full Product + Condition | For other plastic materials stock or resin grade traceability, retain the actual stock producer, complete product, color, dimensions, supplied condition and lot. A generic resin sheet cannot establish stock-shape identity. |
| Resin: Exact Grade + Approved Process | Share the full manufacturer resin, suffix, color, molding or forming route, quantities and sample acceptance. Confirm current product handling and processing instructions; a family listing does not establish LK manufacturing availability. |
Review geometry, temperature state, support and timing before comparing dimensions.
| Your decision | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Assembly | Mating parts, contact media and assembly stress |
| Processing | Heat history, cooling and support |

Material records must correspond to the product and batch actually supplied.

Six polymer families. Exact product, purchasing form and application evidence govern your decision.
| Material reference | What must remain distinct |
|---|---|
| PET / TECAPET | Engineering PET stock family; full product, modification, color and lot remain necessary. |
| PSU / UDEL P-1700 | Polysulfone product family; retain full suffix, color and supply form. |
| PPSU / RADEL R-5500 | Polyphenylsulfone product; distinct from PSU and PPS. Confirm stock or resin route. |
| PAI / TORLON 4203 or 4301 | Polyamide-imide products; separate grade, formulation, condition and finishing requirements. |
| PI / TECASINT 2011 | Named polyimide stock product; not a TORLON PAI equivalent. |
| PVDF / KYNAR 740 | Resin reference; supplied stock identity and processing route require separate evidence. |

For other plastic materials stock or resin grade traceability, retain the actual stock producer, complete product, color, dimensions, supplied condition and lot. A generic resin sheet cannot establish stock-shape identity.

Can PET-P stock be replaced with packaging PET resin? Do not assume equivalence. Confirm the specified engineering stock product, manufacturing form, traceability and approval against your drawing.

Review support, machining sequence, heat history and any supplier-specified conditioning with the actual stock product. Agree the final inspection state before comparing dimensions.

Can TORLON 4301 replace TORLON 4203 in machined parts? No automatic substitution is assumed. Compare exact-grade data, mating material, load, speed, lubrication and approved functional samples.

Identify chemicals, concentration, temperature, exposure time and load together. A PVDF or sulfone family name does not establish resistance or cleaning-cycle life for a finished assembly.

Does PAI stock need post curing after machining? Obtain current instructions from the actual stock supplier for its product and supplied condition. Do not apply a universal cycle to every PAI or PI part.

Other plastic materials finished part inspection requirements should define datums, critical fits, support, surface condition and measurement environment. Material documents and functional approval serve separate purposes.

Process availability and material scope require confirmation for your drawing.
| Your check | Evidence to agree |
|---|---|
| 1 | Manufacturer, full grade and suffix, modification, color, supply form, supplied condition and lot. |
| 2 | Controlled drawing, critical fit, datums, support, edge quality and agreed measurement state. |
| 3 | Approved sample, agreed material documents and specified functional or exposure records. |
Other Plastic Materials finished part inspection requirements must define the final measurement state. Material identity is separate from functional approval.

Send CAD and controlled drawing, manufacturer, full grade and suffix, color, supply form, quantities, application conditions and required evidence. Availability and manufacturing scope require project confirmation.
No. They are different polymer families. Preserve the actual product name and supply form; do not approve substitutions from similar abbreviations or appearance.
It cannot establish the identity of unspecified stock. Use documents for the actual stock producer, full product, modification, color, condition and lot.
No automatic interchangeability is assumed. TECASINT 2011 is a PI stock product and TORLON identifies PAI products. Compare exact product data, purchasing form, process and your functional approval.
Agree material identity and lot, current product data, supplied condition, controlled drawing, approved sample, dimensional inspection and any specified exposure or functional tests. Any regulated-use requirement needs exact product and application evidence.
Use the same drawing, material product, stock or resin route, quantity, sample approval, inspection and delivery scope. PET, sulfone, PAI, PI and PVDF references are separate candidates, not a common performance ranking.
Material references: Ensinger · Syensqo · Arkema. Candidate material families are not inventory or capability commitments.
PET, PSU, PPSU, PAI, PI and PVDF are separate polymer families. European trade names and generic abbreviations do not create an approved EN/DIN equivalent or substitution.
TECAPET and TECASINT 2011 are named stock directions. UDEL P-1700, RADEL R-5500, TORLON 4203, TORLON 4301 and KYNAR 740 need their own full product and supplied-form review.
Keep manufacturer data, stock-producer identity, supplied condition, lot and approved drawing together. No family-wide stock availability, regulated-use approval or process commitment is implied.
