Plan Your AZ91D Around the Finished Interface

4 review topics connect the material to your drawing. Keep the delivered product and receiving criteria explicit.

Your AZ91D Overview

For your AZ91D die-casting housing, identify pressure boundaries, gasket lands and any specified leak test separately from dimensional inspection. Machining can expose subsurface porosity; agree the acceptance route for your finished part.

COMPOSITION AND PRODUCT SCOPE

Your AZ91D Composition Reference

Selected NADCA 2015 ASTM B94-03 die-cast part reference, p. 3-21. Use the complete ordered revision and impurity requirements, not this selected table alone.

For your material analysis report, agree the complete element list, ordered limits, method and lot identity. The reference table is not a test of the illustrated component.

Answers Before You Specify

What is AZ91D magnesium alloy?

Magnesium–aluminum–zinc die-casting alloy. Select the exact product specification and final condition around your drawing; the family name alone is not purchasing acceptance.

Can AZ91D die cast parts be machined?

Review stock allowance, datum support, cutter access, bores, threads, accepted edges and the final coating. Machining may expose subsurface porosity; agree any separate integrity test.

What information is needed for an AZ91D die casting quote?

Send controlled CAD and drawing, full material and product specification, route and delivery state, quantities, finish, critical fits and inspection needs. Tooling, trial and repeat demand should be separated.

What is the minimum order quantity for AZ91D parts?

Quantity, tooling, available material, process route and inspection scope determine the reviewed commercial basis. No fixed MOQ or delivery promise is assigned here.

How can AZ91D parts be protected from corrosion?

Define exposure, temperature, duration and mating metals. Review a compatible preparation and coating system, isolation, masked lands and dimensions after finishing. AZ91D corrosion resistance is not a universal coating-life guarantee.

Can one magnesium alloy replace another?

Obtain drawing-authority approval after comparing complete product specifications, delivery states, service conditions and finished acceptance. Similar names do not establish equivalence.

What changes your AZ91D quotation?

Material sourcing, geometry, usable stock, tooling, secondary machining, protection system, quantities and required records change the reviewed price. Compare the same drawing revision and acceptance scope.

Can published properties replace your inspection report?

No. Published reference values describe their stated product and test basis. Your receiving evidence needs actual material-lot identity, agreed dimensional records and any separately specified functional tests.
